Tönissteiner East Initiative
The Goal of the East Initiative is to open up the Tönissteiner Kreis with its worldwide contacts and networks to young, internationally trained leaders out of the New Länder.
A range of dialogue events and initiatives with Tönissteiner, young, internationally oriented East Germans and prominent regional representatives from the fields of sciences, business and politics showed how the New Länder have handled structural change in recent years and which lessons can be drawn for other regions. Through the expansion of its network the Tönissteiner Kreis aims to make a contribution in the New Länder and via the dialogue series to the creation of a single German civil society.
The engagement of the Kreis continues by opening up to Eastern European countries such as Poland (t.ex. YPIN).
